Truly a fun experience!
The only thing I’m prouder of than the set are the amazingly talented students that make up the cast and crew. If you are looking for a fun murder mystery comedy with flexible, large casting options, I highly recommend this show! It’s been a blast to direct and a big hit with audiences.

So much fun!
The play was quite fascinating and intriguing; involving the audience and using a lot of misdirection to keep everyone guessing was definitely a lot of fun. I enjoyed my role in particular because of the humour that Carl Custodian added to the already comedic production and the whole experience was more of having fun instead of just acting and fitting a role.

Grateful!
This Murder was Staged was witty, lively and left our audience in hysterics. No one guessed who the murderer was. The variety of characters displayed suited those in our production perfectly and, as a girl, to play Thornton was an experience I will never forget and he was, is and always will be my favourite character. I am so grateful to have been a part of this production.

A brilliant experience!
This Murder Staged was a really exciting play. I really liked how the playwrights managed to break the fourth wall and allowed us as actors to interact with the audience. It was something new, and I loved it. The characters were all really diverse and well thought out. It was a true comedy, and the jokes got funnier the more we practised. I was cast as Trudy Mitchell and Jason Greene, who were two very different people, and I enjoyed learning how to navigate the two separate characters and just finding the little quirks in them that made them who they are.
There was a lot of room for us as actors to experiment and find what worked best for us without losing the integrity of the characters or the play. Jason, without a doubt, was my favourite character.
The options for several endings was also really nice as we got to pick the end of the narrative that we enjoyed the most, and that's not an option in a lot of the plays I've seen or acted in. "This murder was staged" is a play that so many people enjoyed. -

Outstanding Comedy Murder Mystery
What a FANTASTIC show from beginning to end! Easy to stage, kids LOVED it (we had problems getting through practices without fits of laughter), and it was very well received by our whole community. I run a theatre group for grades 7-12, and I believe This Murder Was Staged is my favorite production as of yet, which is something I also heard from multiple people in the community. I will say that I added a 10 second rewind sound for every flashback, and a 10 second harp, dream sequence sound, for every back to the present instance there was in the play. I felt like it really made it clear as to what was happening on stage - and heard as much from audience members. I found these sounds online at Sound Snap, which is a wonderful resource for theatre sound. Kudo's and thanks to the authors for putting together a unique, fast paced, FUN show, that we all absolutely loved performing. Bravo!
