Ordering Questions

How do I order a play? +

From the play’s page, add your desired # performances and a PDF Production Pack to your cart. If you’re only ordering that one play, begin the checkout process. If you want to produce another play as well, repeat the process, and check out when everything you want is in your cart.

If you are inquiring about Professional performance rights, please contact us (info@yourstagepartners.com) with the details of your request and we will contact you with additional information as soon as possible.

How do I order scripts of a play?+

Add the PDF Production Pack of the play you are performing to your cart. You have permission to print this PDF as many times as you need for your cast and crew. Done and done!

Do you offer physical books?+

We do not print physical books at this time. Did you really want to pay for shipping and wait for them to arrive? The PDF Production Pack is faster, easier, and cheaper!
If you would really prefer physical books over the printable version of the play, please let us know. We’d be interested to hear from you.

Do I have permission to copy the text of the play from the online version?+

We allow you to read the entire play online for FREE because we want you to have everything you need to make your play selection. We trust you to order a performance license and a printable PDF for your production.

What are my Payment options?+

You may use any of these payment options:
Purchase order - U.S. and Canadian organizations only
Credit card - MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express
Money order - U.S. dollars only.
Institutional check - U.S. dollars only. Stage Partners cannot accept personal checks.

If I order online, do I need to pay by credit card?+

We also accept institutional checks, money orders, and Purchase Orders.

How do I use a Purchase Order?+

The fastest way is to fax or email us your Purchase Order. You can also mail it.

Can I order from outside the United States?+

Absolutely. The great thing about PDF Production Scripts, is you don’t have to pay for International Shipping.

Can I announce and advertise my production before I’ve paid for my order?+

We must receive a signed copy of the Licensing Agreement, accompanied by payment in full, (or purchase order) before you advertise, announce, present or sell tickets for any performances. Under special conditions, we may grant you approval to announce your production while your order is being processed.

How many performances do I need to order?+

You should order the # number of performances that corresponds to the # of times you are performing the play before a live audience (no matter if you are charging admission or not).

How do I order additional performances?+

From the play’s page, add your desired # performances to your cart. If you already have a PDF Production Pack from a previous order, you do not need to add one to your cart. You must make additional royalty payments for any and all performances in addition to those already licensed.

How do I cancel my production or performances?+

You must notify us by email at least one (1) business day prior to the cancelled performance in order for your royalty payment to be refunded. Cancellation notifications sent after the final licensed performance date will not be refunded. Note: the PDF Production Pack Fee is non-refundable.

How do I change my performance dates?+

Please promptly let us know (by email) of any changes in your performance dates, which will be subject to Stage Partners approval.

How do I get my Production PDF Pack?+

After you pay for your production order (which includes performance royalties and the PDF Production Pack) we will email you a link to download the PDF.

Do I need to create an account to read plays and order performances?+

Yes. Either Login In to your account if you already have one, or click on the “Register” button at the top of the home page to create an account.

What is your refund policy?+

All Production PDF Pack sales are final. You can read the whole play online for free so they’re shouldn’t be any surprises.

What is a Purchase Order?+

A Purchase Order is an official document from your school that guarantees the eventual payment of money owed. If you’re not sure if your school uses Purchase Orders, please have contact your bookkeeper or have them contact us.

Is my Credit Card information secure?+

Yes. By using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, your credit card number is encrypted before sending to the credit card processor. Also note that we we do not store your credit card numbers anywhere in our database.

Do I have to pay the royalty fee even if we’re not charging admission?+

Your admission fee (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with whether or not the royalty fee is required. So…yes.

Is there a different royalty fee for professional theaters?+

The royalty rates quoted online are for amateur groups only. Most professional theater will pay a royalty fee per performance and a percentage of their box office revenue. These rates and percentages vary from play to play. If you are a professional theater, please contact us to begin your production license. We promise a painless and speedy process.

Account/Billing Questions

Do I need to create an account to read plays and order performances?+

Yes. Either Login In to your account if you already have one, or click on the “Register” button at the top of the home page to create an account.

How do I retrieve my username and/or password?+

Either click on the “Forgot Username or Password” link on the Log In page or email us.

How do I get a W9 form?+

Email us and we’ll be happy to send it to you.

What is your Federal Tax ID number?+

47-4779074.

Can you fill out a vendor form for my school?+

Yes. Email it over to us and we’ll be happy to fill it out and email it back.

Do you have a Sole Source Provider letter?+

Yes, we have a standard letter. Email us for one or send a specific form you need filled out.

Can you send me an invoice?+

No problem. We would be happy to email, fax, mail you an invoice for a completed order -- just contact us. The faster way would be to print out the invoice from your Account. This online invoice is the same official document that we would send to you.

Rights Questions

Can I make changes to a play?+

You should not delete, alter, or make changes of any kind to the play, including the changing of character gender, the cutting of dialogue, or the alteration of objectionable language, unless granted express written permission by Stage Partners, the author(s) or unless such alterations are explicitly approved in the text of Play. Note that should permission be granted for any changes, any and all materials created or amended remain the property of the Author(s)/Stage Partners.

Can I use a cutting from a play, scene, or monologue for a speech or forensics competition?+

Absolutely! Break a leg and let us know how it goes. Also feel free to use our monologues and scenes on our Free Resources page.

I want to use a play in the classroom, but I don't want to stage a production at this time.+

Please contact us to purchase the PDF Production Pack which you can use in your classroom.

Can I record my production?+

You must get permission to videotape any performance of one of our plays, even for archival purposes. Please contact us with the details of your request.

What is an archival video license?+

It’s permission to film your performance for archival purposes only. You need permission to perform your show, and you also need permission to record it. Please note that you may make one copy for each cast and crew member.

Can I post the video of our performance on YouTube or broadcast on a local TV station?+

Permission to film your performance for archival purposes does not give you permission to broadcast or post your video online. Please contact us with the details of your additional request.

What is the refund for an archival video license?+

Just like performances, makes sure to request the refund for your video license before the date of your last performance.

Miscellaneous Questions

Do your plays have ISBN numbers?+

Not at this time. This allows us to remain more flexible with regard to a playwright’s desired revisions, especially when we can make those changes and quickly offer the latest script online.

Why do you let me read the entirety of every play for free?+

Because we like you.

I am a playwright. Do you accept submissions?+

Thanks for your interest. We’re not accepting submissions at this time. But we may open up for submissions in the near future.

Do you have a printed catalog?+

We don’t have a print catalog at this time. You can easily search all of our plays on our website. And save a tree in the process.
