Mike Swift

Mike Swift is a writer and filmmaker. His plays have been developed and produced at The Atlantic, The Rattlestick, The Flea, The Cherry Lane, La Mama, The Nuyorican Poets Café, and The Chain Theatres. His play Couldabeens was a semifinalist for The O’Neill Conference in 2015. Mike has directed many of his productions in New York and regionally, as well as assistant directed under Spike Jonze, Adam Rapp, and Edward Albee.

His films and new media work have been seen at Vice.com, Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Sydney Opera House, Tribeca Film Festival, The Metropolitan Opera House, NY Film Festival, Maryland Film Festival, Miami Web Fest, and New York Web Fest. Hustlebucks won Outstanding Pilot at The Brooklyn Web Fest, Minnesota Web Fest, and Baltimore New Media Festival.

Mike is a playwriting graduate of Fordham University at Lincoln Center, received his Masters in Screenwriting from UEA in England, and a Film Producer Certificate from NYU Tisch School of Arts.
