Tom Shelton

Tom Shelton has appeared on myriad Southern California stages: South Coast Repertory (Italian Straw Hat, In the Next Room or the vibrator play); Pasadena Playhouse (South Street, Pygmalion); Musical Theatre West (South Pacific, 1776); International City Theatre (The Threepenny Opera, Loot); La Mirada Theatre (All My Sons); and Laguna Playhouse (Red Herring, Travels with My Aunt). Mr. Shelton is on the faculty of SCR’s Adult Conservatory, and is an accomplished playwright and composer. For Orange County's Gourmet Detective he has co-authored several comic thrillers. His musical Caddie Woodlawn, adapted from the American juvenile classic of the same name, co-authored with Susan Hunter, is published by Samuel French. He has written several TYA’s under commission including Millard Fillmore for the Imagination Machine, and The Boy Who Ruled the Moon and Sun for San Diego Opera.
