Leah Barker
Leah Barker is a New York Times Critic’s Pick playwright and immersive theater artist. Her work has been developed or performed by Hartford Stage, Troy Foundry Theatre, Capital Repertory Theatre, Dixon Place, Adult Film, Spark Creative Works, Mount St. Mary's University, and Exquisite Corpse Company (where she was a 2018–21 playwright in residence). Most recently, she co-wrote ZOETROPE, a choose-your-own-adventure show with over two dozen possible storylines staged in a roving 7x12 trailer. She created, edited, and contributed to the TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES series, three volumes of online theater published by Dramatists Play Service, where she is managing editor. Selected acting credits include AS YOU LIKE IT (Theater 2020), THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN (Centenary Stage Company), A PRESENTATION BY THE PEOPLE OF LAKE VICTORY FOR OUR LEADER (the Gym at Judson), and the film SUGAR. She is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
