Jason Lemire

Jason Lemire is a theatre educator and playwright dedicated to making sure young people feel seen, heard and inspired by the performing arts.

Through his company TIFE Theatre, Jason offers online and in-person workshops for emerging playwrights, actors, directors and improvisors. His motto is simple: “This Is For Everyone.”

In 2019, Jason was fortunate enough to be recognized by the Colorado Thespian’s Association as a Drama Teacher of the Year for his passionate, student-driven approach to theatre education.

As a playwright for school audiences, Jason’s work has been performed by schools across the country, from vignettes and one-acts to full-length plays and musicals, frequently garnering honors at state festivals and competitions.

Jason is proud to have served as a writer-in-residence with The Rutgers Institute on Ethnicity, Culture and the Modern Experience under guidance of the late Dr. Clement Price, and mentorship of Dr. Julia Miller, former director of the Black Studies Center at Seton Hall University. Their wisdom and example inspire him to craft inclusive works that frequently grapple with the subjects of justice, equity and belonging.
